 Revival is not about experiences; it is about encounter. It is not about gifts; it is about the Giver. It is not about manifestations; it is about the Manifest Presence. You can have renewal without revival. You can have spiritual experiences without life transformation. You can speak in tongues and still be asleep. You can prophesy and still be carnal. You can heal the sick and still be cold. Revival goes deeper. Revival deals with sin. Revival produces holiness. Revival transforms character. Revival does not just give you an experience; it gives you a new heart. I have seen this in Nigeria. I have seen people who spoke in tongues but lived in adultery. I have seen people who prophesied but were full of greed. But in revival, the hypocrisy is exposed. The masks are removed. The hidden sins are brought to light. That is the difference between renewal and revival. Renewal can be superficial. Revival is always deep.
